If You're Already Replacing Your Roof, Don't Leave Old Gutters Behind
There's a window when your crew is already on-site, the old materials are coming down, and everything is exposed. That's the single best moment to address your gutters — and if yours are failing, waiting could cost you far more than the upgrade.

Your Roof and Gutters Work as One System
Your roof sheds the water. Your gutters carry it away. When one is failing and the other is brand new, you've only solved half the problem — and the half you ignored can quietly do serious damage to your foundation, siding, and fascia boards before you even notice. If our inspection finds your gutters are struggling while we're up there for your roof, we'll tell you straight. No pressure — just the facts.

Most homeowners think of gutters as a separate job — something to deal with later. But if your gutters are already failing when your roof gets replaced, "later" often means foundation damage, rotted fascia, flooded basements, and repairs that cost far more than the gutters would have. Here's what you need to know.
There's a Window. It Doesn't Stay Open Long.
When a roofing crew arrives, the old drip edge comes off, the fascia is exposed, and the entire perimeter of your roof system is accessible. That's the moment when adding or upgrading gutters costs the least — in labor, in disruption, and in the number of times a truck has to come back to your property.
If your gutters have more than 10 years on them, are pulling away from the fascia, show visible rust or holes, or overflow every time it rains — our crew will flag it during the inspection. We don't manufacture problems. But we also don't pretend they're not there. See our gutter repair and installation services for full details on what we offer.
"They sent pictures and videos of nearly the whole project step by step. I knew exactly what was happening and why. No surprises — they are young but responsible and did the job very well."
See our profileGutters That Fail Take Other Things With Them
A gutter system that's pulling away, clogged, rusted, or improperly pitched doesn't just overflow. Over time, it sends water directly down your fascia boards, behind your siding, and pooling against your foundation. That's how you end up with rotted wood, cracked concrete, a flooded basement, and mold — long after the original gutter problem looked minor.
The cruel part: none of that damage is covered by a new roof warranty. Your roof can be perfect and your home can still take on water damage if the gutters aren't doing their job. That's why we look at both during every inspection. Learn more about our roof replacement process in Bergen County.

What a Proper Roof Replacement Actually Covers
A full roof replacement in Bergen County with Dynamic means the old material comes off completely — no layering over a failing deck. We inspect the sheathing, replace any damaged decking, install proper ice-and-water shield and synthetic underlayment, and finish with manufacturer-certified shingles from GAF, Owens Corning, or CertainTeed. Every replacement comes with a 10-year workmanship warranty and full shingle manufacturer coverage.
While the old drip edge is off and the fascia is exposed, that's exactly when our crew can assess — and replace — the gutter system most efficiently. It's not a sales pitch. It's just the practical reality of how these systems connect.
"Flori and the team go above and beyond. Thank you for your professionalism, honesty, and commitment to excellence!"

New Gutters Installed Right the First Time
When we replace gutters, we install seamless aluminum gutters pitched and sized correctly for your specific roofline — not a box store approximation. We handle the fascia attachment, downspout positioning, and proper drainage routing so water exits your property the way it's supposed to. We also offer gutter guard installation to reduce long-term maintenance.
If your gutters are structurally sound and just need cleaning or minor repair, we'll tell you that instead of selling you a replacement. That's how we end up with the kind of reviews we have. Read more about gutter repair and installation in NJ.
"Dynamic were outstanding from start to finish. They showed up on time, communicated throughout, and left the property spotless. Could not be happier."

We Don't Upsell. We Inspect and Report.
Flori has been in roofing since he was 14. He's been on enough jobs to know that most gutter problems aren't dramatic — they're slow, quiet, and expensive by the time someone notices them. When we're up on your roof, we look at everything connected to it. If your gutters are fine, we'll tell you they're fine. If they're not, we'll show you exactly why.
Schedule a Free InspectionWhen to Do Both — and When Your Gutters Are Fine
Not every roof replacement requires new gutters, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. If your gutters are less than 10 years old, properly pitched, firmly attached, and draining without issue — leave them alone. You don't need to replace what isn't broken.
But if your gutters are sagging, separating from the fascia, visibly rusted, or routinely overflowing even after cleaning, the roof replacement is your best opportunity. You've already got a crew there. The fascia is already accessible. The incremental cost of adding gutters to an existing job is significantly lower than scheduling a separate trip — and the downside of waiting is real structural damage that no warranty covers.
Our recommendation: let us inspect both during the estimate. You'll know exactly what you're working with before you commit to anything. That's a free inspection at (855) 446-6887 — no obligation, no pressure.
"We've used Dynamic twice now and will absolutely call them again. Honest, punctual, and the work holds up. Rare to find a contractor like this."

Roof & Gutter Replacement — FAQ
No — and we won't tell you otherwise. If your gutters are in good shape, leave them. What we will do is inspect them while we're up there and give you an honest assessment. If they're failing, we'll show you why. If they're fine, we'll say so and move on.
If your gutters are already failing, they'll continue to fail — and water will find its way into your fascia boards, behind your siding, and eventually against your foundation. That's how you end up with rotted wood, mold, and basement water damage. The roof warranty doesn't cover any of that. Gutters that overflow or pull away from the house are a separate but connected problem.
Typically yes — because the crew is already mobilized, the drip edge is already off, and the fascia is already accessible. You're not paying for a second site visit, second setup, or second cleanup. The incremental cost of adding gutters to an active roof job is meaningfully lower than scheduling it separately.
Look for gutters that are pulling away from the fascia, visibly rusted or cracked, overflowing during normal rain, or sagging between hangers. Also look at the fascia board itself — if it's stained, soft, or starting to rot, that's a sign water has been running behind the gutter for a while. Any of these are worth having us look at during an inspection.
Yes. If you're already doing gutters, adding gutter guards at the same time is the most cost-effective moment to do it. They reduce long-term maintenance and help prevent the clog-and-overflow cycle that causes the kind of damage described above. We'll go over the options during your estimate.
Yes — we serve Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Ocean, Monmouth, and Middlesex counties. If you're in northern or central NJ and need a roof or gutter inspection, give us a call at (855) 446-6887 and we'll confirm coverage for your area.
They replaced the roof and noticed my gutters were pulling away in two spots. Showed me photos right there on the job. We added the gutters the same day — and the whole thing was cleaner than I expected. No second trip, no hassle. Best call I made.
